It is a few weeks old on purpose. Nobody wins work off a permit that age, so there is no reason for me to hide it from you. Open it, pick five permit numbers, look them up on the city's page, and decide whether the rest is worth $39.

The city's own record, and its own warning
The source is the City of Austin's Issued Construction Permits dataset, published by its Development Services Department on the city's open data portal. Every row in your file carries the permit number and a link straight back to it.
The city attaches a warning to that data, and I would rather repeat it than bury it: the records are for informational use, they can differ from the department's internal data, and the set is updated continuously, so the same report run twice can come back different. That is the raw material, and it is the same raw material for everyone.
What you are paying me for is pulling it before you are awake, filtering it to the work you actually do, ranking it, and dropping everything you have already seen.
Yes, and it is not a close call
These are public government records, out of the same portal any member of the public can open for free.
There are no homeowner names, no phone numbers and no email addresses in the file, because the permit record does not carry them. Nothing here is a bought list, a form fill resold to five of your competitors, or anything scraped out of somebody's private account.
Month to month. Cancel by replying to any email. The rate you start on is the rate you keep.

Pick five rows out of any file I send you and look each permit number up on the city's page. If they do not hold up, tell me and do not pay me. You are paying for the pulling, the filtering and the delivery, not for access to something secret.

- How fresh is it?
- The city posts overnight and the file leaves by 8 Central the same morning. Rows issued in the last 7 days are marked NEW.
- What if my ZIP codes are not covered?
- Austin and the surrounding jurisdictions are live now. Send me the ZIPs you work and I will tell you straight whether the city publishes what you need. If it does not, I will say so rather than sell you a thin file.
- How many rows should I expect?
- 30 EV and panel permits were issued across Austin in the last 7 days, and your slice of that depends on how wide your ZIPs are. Some mornings the file is three rows. It is a real feed, not a padded one.
- What is the score column?
- My ranking, off job value, property type and how recent the permit is. It puts the likely jobs at the top. It is a guide, not gospel, and you can ignore it entirely.
- Do you sell the same rows to my competitors?
- The permits are public, so anybody willing to do this work can find them. What I will not do is take one contractor's enquiry and resell it as a lead to five people, which is what most lead services actually are.
- Can I cancel?
- Reply to any email and say stop. That is the whole process. No form, no retention call.
- Who is this not for?
- If you only take commercial work, or you work outside the metros listed above, this will not earn its keep. Tell me what you do and I will tell you if it is a fit.
